In this Project Spotlight, we look at a recently completed restoration of an historic building in downtown Franklin, Indiana. The former residence is now home to the Upstairs Basement, a unique boutique containing antiques, home decor, and collectibles. The new Metal Shake roof, in the Leather color, dramatically transformed the appearance of the building, while offering superior weatherproofing protection.

Cornett Roofing performed a full tear off and replacement of the existing shingle roof, while installing a new Metal Shake Series roof on the timber framed home. Built by the homeowners themselves over the course of several years, the home features vaulted ceilings, several roof dormers, several angle changes, and a small bump out on the rear of the home. The project was completed over the course of a week and was documented throughout with interviews, drone footage, and time lapses, which can be seen in the videos below.
