Cornett Roofing Systems is committed to being a leader in our industry, as well as a responsible corporate citizen in the communities we serve. The “Cornett Cares” program was developed to take that commitment to a new level, challenging ourselves to make a REAL difference in areas such as energy sustainability, reducing our environmental impact, supporting local communities, and making charitable contributions. This page highlights some of the initiatives and contributions Cornett Roofing Systems has made to work toward the goals of the Cornett Cares program.
Energy Sustainability
The corporate office and manufacturing facility for Cornett Roofing Systems is powered by solar energy. Utilizing 862 individual solar panels, the 30,000 sq. ft. headquarters building can produce enough power to run the entire plant with clean, sustainable energy. Cornett Roofing installs both commercial and residential solar energy systems.
Supporting Local Communities
Cornett Roofing Systems is an active participant in supporting community groups and businesses where we live and work. Cornett Roofing is a member of several Chamber of Commerce organizations and routinely participates in their events. Whenever possible, we try to purchase goods and services from local companies to keep resources here in our community. Finally, we advertise in many local community outlets that many other companies ignore.
Reducing Our Environmental Impact
Cornett Roofing Systems works to reduce our environmental impact in many ways, including a heavy emphasis on recycling, performing logistical analysis (to reduce drive times and fuel), and purchasing fuel efficient vehicles when possible. In addition, our focus on permanent and sustainable roofing systems such as metal, slate, and tile help reduce the number of asphalt shingles that go into a landfill every day!
Charitable Contributions
As part of the Cornett Cares philosophy, the company also gives back to the community through charitable donations of both time and money. Whether it involves re-roofing a Boys & Girls Club destroyed by Hurricane Katrina or donating thousands of pounds of food to local food pantries, Cornett Roofing feels blessed to be able to help in times of need. Some of the many other organizations we have supported in the past include the Johnson County Community Foundation, Junior League of Indianapolis, both the Boy and Girl Scouts of America, Fraternal Orders of Police, the Greenwood Little League, and several churches.
