Cornett Roofing Systems Donates Roofs to Greenwood Little League
Franklin, Indiana, June 23, 2015 – Cornett Roofing Systems, a leading provider of permanent roofing systems in the Midwest and proponent of youth sports, is giving back to the community with the donation of several new roofs on buildings managed by the Greenwood Little League Association.
The Greenwood Little League’s mission is to implant the ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, respect of authority, and teamwork in children and young adults in the Greenwood area. With over 450 players, the league offers six divisions for children ages 5 through 16, along with a Challenger Division for mentally and physically disabled children.
The new metal roofs installed by Cornett Roofing Systems cover the concession stand, equipment garage, and four scoring towers, with a service life guaranteed to exceed 50 years. In all, the roofs represent a $15,000 donation to the Greenwood Little League, which does not benefit from public funds and is privately supported.
Chan Cornett, owner of Cornett Roofing Systems, had this to say about the project. “We are happy to provide the Greenwood Little League with these new roofs to keep their equipment and concession areas dry and safe from water damage and mold. Little League is something I loved as a kid and I’m glad to give back to such a great program”.
Greg Simms, President of the Greenwood Little League said, “The roofs at the facility are modernized now and look great! We can’t thank Cornett Roofing Systems enough for going above and beyond in their support of the Greenwood Little League”.
